The hotel is adequate+, but don't expect luxury. Big screen TV is a plus, but only fair satellite reception.
Plenty of good restaurants in walking distance.
We went for a wedding that was supposed to be held on the beach but because of the weather they moved it inside and the hotel was very accommodating and made it very nice. I did feel that the sheets on the bed were a little more worn than usual. 1 unusual observation I'm made was the elevators were unusually fast, that's a plus I guess. The walls were a bit thin because we can hear voices late into the night but overall great experience no real complaints.
Good place. The owners are working on it and seem to be making progress. The staff is friendly and helpful. The beach is nice and the pier is just a few feet away. Keep in mind this is a hotel so you are checking into a hotel room and not a condo. I recommend this place
The hotel is very clean and up to date. Love the TV and the view. They are located sea side, so if you play your cards right, you can have a view of the sea and see the sunrise every morning. Highly recommend getting a 4th floor room. Walking to the beach is short and simple. You can be on the beach in 2 minutes walking. Easily one of the best hotels on Tybee Island
We had the misfortune of scheduling our stay while two movies were being filmed at Tybee. We didn't know that our "beach front,. Full ocean view with balcony" had a public parking lot between hotel and beach. The movie company's semi rigs parked between hotel and beach, with diesel engines running all day both days. So much for enjoying the balcony.
Not a bad hotel for being 125 years old. The new ownership and remodeling have definitely made it look nice. We had a room with a beach view as you can see in the picture and the rear parking lot was NOT an eyesore like others have stated. The walk was less than a minute to the beach and the local strip of bars and shops was only a few minutes away. Check in was quick and easy and the staff was friendly. The room was a standard hotel room and had no complaints from me. The bathrooms were a little dated however, but I've seen that they are due for a remodel soon. The only complaint I had was getting booted out of the hotel after one night due to Hurricane Irma and Georgia's mandatory evacuation of Tybee Island. We will definitely be coming back here in the future and hopefully we can stay a few days longer like we originally planned.
